Apply to moderate

Help keep the Discord a good place to be — a wizard of real questions about your availability, judgment, and how you'd actually handle it.

Before you apply

What the role actually involves

Real moderation on a live Discord: judgment calls, escalation, and a fair number of ordinary questions. This isn't a resume form — most of it is 'what would you actually do'.

This is unpaid volunteer work, and most applicants won't be taken on.

Moderating means enforcing the rules consistently — sometimes on people you like — on your own time, for no pay. We only bring on a handful of people at a time and we'd rather leave a gap unfilled than add staff we don't need. Go in expecting a "not this round" more often than not.

Moderator applications are tied to your Steam account so we know who is applying. Signing in brings you straight back to this page — nothing you've read above is lost.
